From Ginny Au:
Alate: (adj.) having wings; lifted up in flight. Using this beautiful word as my source of inspiration I imagined a gown that was capable of femininity and movement. This stunning Samuelle Couture gown literally took flight on the cliff paired with an exquisite monvieve veil from Ivory & White Boutique. Sarah Winward designed a unruly bouquet of whites and foraged greens to compliment the delicate simplicity of this shoot.

When designing the vignettes for Erich Mcvey’s workshop in Elk, California I combined the natural beauty of the  environment with ancient words for inspiration. For today’s double feature I used the word Nubivagant, (adj.) moving among clouds. I was inspired by the colors of the ocean at Covey’s Cove using grey and dusty blues in the details paired with simple calligraphy and texture by MK Sadler. Our table scape was understated and peaceful with draped linen for movement and hand crafted porcelain objects. The wild beauty of the florals by Sarah Winward were such an exquisite extension of the untamed beauty of Covey’s Cove.

We concluded the day of shooting by bringing the models from Nubivagant & Alate together. Two words, two gowns and two models that strengthen and complement the other with exquisite ease.
