A little bit about the awesome couple, Marcus & Kristine: We met in Las Vegas in October 2010!  I was there with my best friend for a short holiday and marcus was there for a week with a group from work. I actually met one of the girls in the group first and she insisted on introducing me to someone.   That someone was Marcus.  We stayed in touch when we each went back home to Canada and Ireland and the rest is history!
The first time I came to Ireland after meeting Marcus, we stopped at an overlook on the side of the road and across the bay, he pointed out his family home.  We took a photo of the two of us there and have continued to do so almost every time we are home.
I spent christmas 2013 with my parents in Canada and flew to Ireland on the 28th.  THe weather was awful with widespread flooding so there wasn’t much opportunity to get out for our photo.
He said that my christmas gift was arriving by mail any day.  I was expecting a football jersey of his team, Kerry.  December 30th was the first sunny day and suddenly i was told that my gift had arrived. We jump in the car to go pick it up and half way to the post office he says that he forgot his ID to pick up the parcel.  I laughed and teased him as we turned around and that is when he gave my his phone and a video to watch.  It was a video of him standing in our ‘spot’.  I never saw him, just heard his voice and the first view I had of his home in 2010.  He went on to say all the things he wanted to say in person, but can be so hard to get out in the moment.
We then pulled into our spot, took our photo and to my surprise he got down on one knee! The great man he is, he asked my fathers permission.  The smart man he is, he asked my best friend for advice on the ring!

I could not have imagined a more perfect day for our wedding!
Having an Irish wedding, I fully expected some rain and the morning delivered with a light misty drizzle. It made getting ready very cozy experience with our mugs of coffee and later Prosecco. My bridesmaids and I stayed at a friends house overlooking the bay and Marcus family home, where he was getting ready. It felt quite intimate to be able t to look out the window knowing he was not very far away.
We did our first look inside since the rain hadn’t quite stopped. Everyone hid in one end of the house as Marcus snuck in!  It was a extremely special ad important moment for us as there are very few wedding day moments that are reserved for the couple. It was wonderful to have that to ourselves.
