When planning our Europe trip, the only places Alan really wanted to go were Germany and Italy. Now I had absolutely zero interest in going to Germany. I have been there before and I didn’t think it was different enough from anything I’ve seen to warrant going again. However, it just so happened to work into our route. Now we did end up going to Munich after Austria, where we learnt that Munich used to be part of Austria and is therefore the most Austria part of Germany….So we really should have chosen a different part, but needless to say we still had a good time. We did a self guided walking tour around old town and through some parks, we saw the river surfers, which was the coolest thing! It absolutely poured rain though! The next day we went to the beer gardens, the part Alan was most looking forward to! The beer gardens were actually gorgeous! And we even splurged and rented a paddle boat-it looked like so much fun-and it was! There were so many ducks, oh the ducks, I love ducks, we chased some trying to get some good photos of them. The embarrassing things tourists do when they’ve got some beer in them! The following day we rented a car and headed south towards the castles!
