While we were in Europe, we wanted to hire a film photographer to do photos for us, but since we weren’t sure where we were going to be (yes, we left our planning a little late and hadn’t quite nailed down our Countries yet) and the few we inquired with timing didn’t work out, we decided to take our own. Alan has been patient with me over the past couple years with our “selfies”. He stands still for a while, I get it all set up, check it and then set the timer and run into position. With digital cameras this worked wonders and we’ve got some pretty good results. Trying this on film for the first time was daunting, I had no clue how these were going to turn out since I couldn’t check them right away! Thankfully they turned out even better than I expected, while they aren’t perfect, for a selfie, I’m pretty darn impressed with myself! It was thundering and there was a nasty dark cloud overhead, it was cold and windy, but I was determined to get some good photos of us on film! Thankfully in Ireland there weren’t many people around so it was easy to set up a tripod to do this! I can’t imagine trying to do this in Budapest or Norway where it was so much busier!
