Where to Shop for a Client Wardrobe

There are tons of amazing places with dresses that I would love to own, but honestly, when they are the same price as the session fee your client is paying, its hard to justify purchasing multiple outfits in multiple sizes at those prices.

I have spent hours and hours and days and days finding my favourite places that are AFFORDABLE and still trendy and stylish to get client wardrobe pieces from! And to get a variety of styles and colors, not everyone wants a boho dress for their session! I photograph newborns, maternity and a LOT of families and engagements so I need to have quite the variety to suit my clients!

I did a little wardrobe try-on with a few of the first pieces I bought! I am always adding to my client wardrobe and changing up pieces no one is interested in and finding the right outfits for my clients!

Some of my favourite shops are below!

  1. Shein – I was worried it was a scam place at first, it seemed too good to be true, but I have ordered thousands of dollars worth of stuff from here, for my business and my own closet! (and by the way, thousands of dollars worth is like 50 dresses or more!) Their reviews on their site are AMAZING and really help get a feel for the fabrics and fit of pieces! I have only had 1 item that the fit was really off on, but for a client wardrobe you need a variety of sizes anyways!

  2. Chicwish – Another amazing place, slightly better quality than Shein, but also slightly higher prices, a great place to do lots of shopping in one go and have lots of options! Especially great if you have to pay shipping prices to Canada- its nice to only pay for shipping from one place!

  3. Pink Blush – I found this place when I was pregnant, and I bought so much stuff from them, I have since bought a ton more for the client wardrobe, great quality, great fits! Their site appears to have lots of variety but it’s a lot of variations of the same thing. Reasonable prices, but really expensive shipping to Canada!

  4. Nothing Fits But – Theres really only a hand full of dresses here I love, most of them are the same style but they are a reasonable price, and the one is totally worth buying!

  5. Doen & Christy Dawn – I LOVE their dresses – don’t own any tho! In my books they are way too pricey for the client wardrobe! But I do encourage clients to purchase their own!

My collection also features a dress I made, one from Vivi Marks (a cheap online shop) but the quality is terrible so wouldn’t recommend that one, and a lot of Gal Meets Glam dresses (theres a facebook group to buy and sell them!) And a bunch of other ones I’ve found along the way from random sources! Always have my eyes peeled for great pieces!

If you have a favourite I would LOVE to hear about it! I am always looking to add to my collection!
