One part of the wedding photography workshop consisted of an engagement session. I had all the students watch how I would shoot it, then gave them all their own time with the models. There was a wonderful spot with perfect lighting just at the edge of the parking lot near the venue. Other than it being absolutely freezing cold it all worked out beautifully! The amazing models, Emily, also a make up artist for Blushed Beaute, and her boyfriend, Jay stuck it out in the cold for the whole time. I loved photographing these two, even though it was only for a few short minutes just to demonstrate some of my posing techniques. The styling fit right in with the coloring of the wedding & details styling, we kept the same blues color scheme & tried to choose an elegant & flowy, yet still warm, outfit for Emily, and of course a co-ordinating one for Jay!

We are thinking about hosting more workshops in the future, if you might be interested in learning from me, give me a shout and let me know! I’ve also started doing some one-on-one mentoring this year & I would love to chat with you about it!
